How to Connect Claude to ConfBuilder
Last updated October 2026.
ConfBuilder ships its own MCP server, the open standard AI assistants use to connect to tools. Claude speaks it natively. Connect once and plain requests like "move the keynote to 11am and republish" become real edits with real confirmations.
1. Add the connector
In claude.ai or Claude Desktop, open Customize, then Connectors, then click Add and choose Add custom connector. Name it ConfBuilder and paste the server URL:
https://mcp.confbuilder.com/mcp
2. Sign in
Claude opens the sign-in flow: your ConfBuilder email and a 6-digit code from your inbox. The connection uses OAuth, so your assistant works with your permissions and never holds your password.
3. Turn it on and give it a task
In a chat, enable the ConfBuilder connector from the tools menu and try something real:
Add a keynote to my demo event on Thursday at 10am, Main Stage.
Claude edits the record, confirms each change and shows what it did. Nothing publishes silently: it works with your permissions and asks before making changes.
4. Other clients use the same URL
The same server URL works across MCP clients. Set it up per client:
| Client | How to connect |
|---|---|
| Claude (claude.ai, Desktop) | Customize, Connectors, Add custom connector. Every plan works |
| ChatGPT | Business or Enterprise: Plugins, plus, Add custom MCP server (Pro gets read-only) |
| Claude Code | claude mcp add --transport http confbuilder https://mcp.confbuilder.com/mcp |
| Cursor, Codex, Gemini CLI | Add the URL to their MCP config and sign in when asked |
5. Work the way you already work
The assistant can run the whole surface: speakers, sponsors, tracks and sessions, walls, promo cards, attendees, the Content Library, news and polls, and the event website. Logins last 7 days, then just sign in again from the chat.
